Nairobi Chess Club which is the oldest chess club in Kenya (formed in 1958) has announced that the 54th edition of the Championship will be held on 18th & 19th August 2012 at the Braeburn School, Gitanga Road, Nairobi.
Last years event attracted a total of 42 players and this year the organisers are expecting a bumper entry of over 100.
For the second year running Rodger Adai (proprietor of ARM Engineering) has sponsored this event.
The defending champion is Ben Magana.
