Nakuru Chess Club will this weekend host the Rift Valley Open Chess Tournament at the Shik Park Hotel which is located within Nakuru town.
Nakuru Chess Club meets every Sunday starting 1pm at Joe’s Inn which is located along Kanu Street.
Club officials include Wesley Korir as Chairman and Gilbert Gichuru as Secretary. Dr Kevin Bichanga is the Organising Chairman for this highly anticipated event.
This is a welcome development for Nakuru which has a number of keen and active players.
Nakuru is the 4th largest city in Kenya and is home to the famous Nakuru National Park which is a popular tourist destination.
