The legendary chess coach RB Ramesh
RB Ramesh is a world renown chess coach.
Two aspiring Kenyan chess players 12 year old Celina and her 8 year old sister Suhana Patel were lucky to meet up with the famous chess coach during their visit to India in March 2017.
He is the 2002 British Champion and a well known chess coach in India. You can read more about him in this fantastic 3 part series done by Sagar Shah of Chessbase India.
He was also the coach to Team India during the 2012 and 2014 Chess Olympiad.

Ramachandran Ramesh (a.k.a. R. B. Ramesh) was born 20 April 1976 in Chennai, India. Besides winning the 2002 British Championship he was also the winner of the 2007 Commonwealth Chess Championship.
He is married to WGM Aarthie Ramaswamy making them India’s first Grandmaster couple!
Chess Gurkul which was set up in 2008 has trained some of India’s finest players. One of them is Bharath Subramaniyam, who became an International Master in 2019 at the age of 11 years and 8 months.
