Joseph Methu won the second edition of Unplug & Play Blitz Championship with 10.5/11 points in an event held on 16th July 2017 at the Alchemist, Westlands.
CM Vasanth Ramesh tied with Ricky Sang on 8.5/9 points but Vasanth’s superior tie break score saw him finish in second place.
The winner received KES 2,000 and the runner up KES 1,000 from Unplug & Play founders Brenda Manyara.
The time control was 3 minutes plus 2 seconds for every move and limited to only 12 players.
The event was organised by Paras Gudka of Motochess Ventures.
