For the first time we used our own customised chess boards, thanks to Paul Allen & The Robert Katende Initiative

Sample of the new chess boards.

The tournament was fully supported by SOM Chess Academy and the Robert Katende Initiative.

Special thanks to the staff of Sports Outreach Kenya and the different teachers and coaches for the great work done in organising this year’s edition.
