Joseph Methu proved that he is the man to beat when he clinched the 3rd edition of the Unplug & Play blitz round robin chess tournament played this afternoon at the Alchemist in Westlands. This made it an impressive 3/3 for the blitz wizard since the event was inaugurated.

He left Mehul Gohil panting in his wake, with a 3 point difference after he garnered 16.5 points out of a possible 17 points, with his only draw coming against Ricky Sang. For his efforts he took home KES 4,000 and Mehul, nursed his yet-again-squashed ambition of dethroning Methu by pocketing KES 2,000.

This coming Saturday August 26th we shall have a rapid juniors and seniors event at the Capital Centre’s Food Court and Mister Wok.
