Invisible Crown Junior Chess Tournament

96 junior chess players took part in the ‘Invisible Crown Junior Chess Tournament‘ which was held at Crown House off Vihiga Road, Kileleshwa in Nairobi.

The 5 round event was split into 3 sections – U18, U13 and U8.

The U8 category had 31 players and it was Hetansh Shah of Oshwal Academy who emerged the clear winner with 5 points.

The U13 category had 60 players in which both Mark Alando of Mavens Chess Centre and Reuben Githaiga of Makini School tied for first place with 5 points each.  Mark Alando was declared the winner due to a better tie break.

The U18 category had a total of 8 players.  Krish Wadhia of Oshwal Academy was the clear winner with 5 points.
