Terrian Chess Academy (TCA) CEO Brian Kidula has just pulled off a major publicity stunt for chess.
TCA were invited to State House to teach kids from 5 children’s homes during an Xmas party hosted by H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta and the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on 17th December 2017.
H.E President Kenyatta spent a couple of minutes mingling with the chess players. He further pledged to support the African Youth Chess Championship which is scheduled for Mombasa in August 2018.
The team from TCA comprised of Moses Andiwoh, Daphne Mwikali, Easter Judy, Debra Kwamboka, Sarah Momanyi & Isaiah Otieno, both of SOM, Joshua Kamau Njoroge & Hope Wambui Njoroge (TCA trainees), Tom Amwai, Morrel Omondi, Josephat Odhiambo (SOM staff) and Justus Njoroge.
This publicity is expected to generate great interest in the coming months from all corners of Kenya.
