“This is a great experience because I have never been here before.  I have travelled to a total of 11 countries most of which were in Africa.  It has been a pleasure for me to share my experience with the chess players of Seychelles” said FM Haruna Nsubuga.

FM Haruna Nsubuga also plans to take part in other important events.  These include the African Individuals Chess Championship in Zambia and the Dubai Open later in the year.

Haruna attained the prestigious FIDE Master (FM) title at the 2014 Africa Zone 4.2 Chess Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

This visit has generated enormous goodwill and interest within this small federation.
