James Kabui Wins Epitome U21 Championship

The Epitome Junior U21 Chess Championship took place on 21st and 22nd of April 2018 at the KCB Sports Club Ruaraka.

There event attracted a total of 40 players and included some of Kenya’s most promising youngsters.

James Kabui was crowned winner with 5.5 out of 6 points to go home with KES 10,000 (USD 100).  Lenox Mangi ended up with 5 points to grab 2nd position and go home with KES 6,000.  CM Jeff Gichuki, Timothy Mwabu, Lenny Mataiga, Lucy Wanjiru and Viraj Shah tied for jointed third place with 4.5 points to share KES 3,500.
