The dates for the Mombasa Open Chess Championship have just been released.

Mombasa Chess Club have chosen the long ‘Mashujaa‘ weekend of 19th to 21st October 2018 to host the event.

The venue will be Techinical University of Mombasa.

IM Elijah Emojong of Uganda has confirmed that he will be defending his title.

He has won this event in 2016 and 2017.  He will retain the floating trophy if he wins the event this time.
