Githinji Hinga clinched the inaugural Rapid Fire Chess Tournament.
He did this in fine style by winning 5 games and drawing 2 games in this 7 round event.
His two draws were against Akello Atwoli and upcoming youngster Timothy Mwabu.

Peter Gilruth, Mehul Gohil & Joseph Methu were the other top players in this event. A total of 28 players took part.
Githinji Hinga won a top prize of KES 8,000 (USD 80) while the total cash prize fund was KES 20,000 (USD 200).
