KUSA Womens’ Games
The (KUSA) Womens’ Games 2019 was held from 15th to 17th March in Kirinyaga University (KYU), Kirinyaga County. KUSA is the acronym for Kenya Universities Sports Association. It was the 8th edition of the event.
A total of 10 teams comprising four players per team participated in the Games.
It is interesting to note that this tournament was an exclusive ladies only event.
Participants had to play seven rounds and had 1 hour to complete their game.
The Universities represented were the following:
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology (JKUAT).
Kenyatta University (KU).
University of Eldoret (UOE).
University of Nairobi (UON)
Machakos University (MU)
University of Embu (UOEm).
Chuka University (CU).
Technical University of Kenya (TUK).
Jaramogi Oginda Odinga University of Science & Technology (JOOUST).
Kirinyaga University (KYU).
JKUAT obliterated the field with their dominance perfectly winning all their match points. TUK settled for second place while UOE finished in third place. The final ranking of the Teams was as below.
