St Peters Juja in Russia
St Peters Juja Chess Team has landed safely in Sochi, Russia.
They will participate in the prestigious “Belaya Ladya Chess Festival“, which runs from 1st to 11th June 2019.

This year tournament has attracted 80 Russian and 26 international teams. Just over 550 schoolchildren in total will be taking part in the festival.
St Peters Juja earned the right to represent Kenya when they won the national title as the best overall primary school.
Each team is composed of one girl and three boys who are under 14 years.
Robert Irungu, Mbarire Jude, Lawrence Micheal and Yvonne Waithera will be part of the team.
Mr Michael Mutua, who is the chess coach, will head the team.
Chess Kenya also nominated Ms Saphinah Moraa Kenyando as the Head of Delegation. Ms Saphinah is a teacher at Nyabigena Boys School.
St Peters, Juja are taking part in the “Belaya Ladya” event for the second time in a row.
