Brian Adorwa
Brian Adorwa’s hopes for a maiden Olympiad appearance appear to be getting dimmer. He lost to Joseph Methu and Jackson Kamau to end up with only half a point from 4 rounds. He will need to win at least 5 out of the remaining six games to make it to the team.
Robert Mcligeyo
Robert Mcligeyo also has half a point from 4 rounds but has gained tremendous experience by taking part in this tough event.
The 14-year-old lad is probably one of Kenya’s most talented juniors who can set his eyes on making it to the 2022 Olympiad Team.
Ladies section
WFM Sasha Mongeli gathered a maximum of 2 points by defeating Naiya Gosrani and Triza Mwenda.
WCM Joyce Nyaruai also collected the maximum 2 points by defeating Glenda Madelta and Cynthia Obondo.
