WCM Joyce Ndirangu wins silver medal at world event

Joyce Ndirangu Nyaruai grabbed a silver medal at the 2021 World Amateur Chess Championship, which ended last week in Rhodes, Greece.

She defeated WCM Zainab Darwish Almaamari of the United Arab Emirates in the last round to obtain 7 points out of 9 rounds.

Madelta Glenda had earlier won her last round game to clinch the gold medal in the same event and go home with Euro 400.
