Rwanda Olympiad Team set for Chennai Olympiad

Anastase Barajiginywa, Kishitij Goyal, Lionel Nditabinye, Maranatha Nduwayesu and Hassan Murenzi will represent Rwanda. The interesting thing about the team is that the top three players are unrated, and all five will be making their maiden Olympiad appearances.

The team selection process involved a Frist Phase, which saw 22 players participating, with the top ten going into the Final Phase.

Maranatha Nduwayesu was the winner of the First Phase with a score of six points out of seven rounds.
