The 2024 Kenya National PWD Championship – Sadam Ali wins

The 2024 Kenya National PWD Championship ended with Sadam Ali winning the event by a perfect score of seven points out of seven rounds!  Sadam Ali took home the cash prize of KES 15,000 and is now a two-time winner of the Kenya National PWD title. He won his first title in 2019.

Collins Shamala was second with six points and won a cash prize of KES 10,000, while Brian Kipkemei was third, and he went home with KES 5,000.

Defending Champion Clement Miheso, a formidable presence in the championship, unfortunately missed the podium this time. With a score of five points, he ended up in sixth place, which surprised many.

The event saw 54 contestants battling it on 17th February 2024 at the KCB Sports Club, Nairobi.

Mercy Cherono won the Ladies Section with seven points out of seven rounds. She took home KES 15,000 as the cash prize.

Mary Nduku was second with six points to win KES 10,000, while Leila Abid was third with five points to go home with KES 5,000.

The Ladies Section, a fiercely contested category, saw sixteen talented individuals participate, each vying for the top spot.
