Gorilla Fart Tournament Reports: 66th NCC Championships Round 1

I don’t know why it is called the Open Section. It should be called the Elite Section.
Along with the lions and lioness, only the finest local gazelle breeds are in the Elite Section.
I was in deep shit in Round 1 vs Gold Medalist and 2024 African Amateur Champion Lioness WCM Joyce Nyaruai. I farted out a really baaaad Grunfeld on the White side. Lost a pawn, and if the lioness had played the timely e5, I would have lost another pawn. I was cooked. Then, for some reason, Joyce started to play ‘solid’ and fixed the structure with b5 and c4 pawn pushes.
I couldn’t believe my luck. Immediately, I uncorked a saving counter-play. Joyce lost her composure at the turn of events. She could have kept things balanced at points but she succumbed to ‘Gorilla‘ warfare aka ‘Bim Dhawo‘.
She will do well in Budapest. Strong showing despite the result.
