2025 East Africa Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games
The 2025 East Africa Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games hosted by Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) in Kakamega saw hundreds of athletes, including chess players, taking part in the 22nd edition of the event. The event ran from August 14th to August 25th, 2025.
Chess, which featured for the first time, saw 68 participants from Kenya and Uganda competing in two groups (Open and Girls).
Team Kenya won three Gold, four Silver, and two Bronze medals, alongside a dominant team victory by the Queens Gambit in the girls’ category.
