IM Rodwell Makoto of Zimbabwe visits Kenya


4 times Zimbabwe National Chess Champion IM Rodwell Makoto of Zimbabwe was in Nairobi recently thanks to Kasparov Chess Foundation Africa who organised the trip which was sponsored by the Paul Allen Foundation.

IM Rodwell Makoto who resides in South Africa is the 2012 South Africa Open winner and has played for Zimbabwe for 3 Olympiads (2012, 2014 and 2016).

IM Rodwell Makoto of Zimbabwe flew in on 6th April 2017 to 13th April 2017 and ran a number of high intensity chess clinics for selected trainees.  He also got a chance to visit some of the schools where much needed chess equipment was donated.
